The Ministry

Camp Copass exists to create an atmosphere for campers to grow in their relationship with Jesus through Christian worship, discipleship, Biblical training, recreation, and evangelism. For over 77 years this peninsula has been a holy place for churches to bring groups of all ages. We hosted over 32,000 campers in the last year.

The Need

Summer camps are times when faith and fun meet. Memorable experiences are filled with inspiring Bible teaching which provides opportunity to connect with The Lord in new ways. Camp Copass programmed summer camps fill up quickly. Currently we have an overflow of about 50 children that stay in our hotel rooms each week. It is our desire to offer these campers the full Camp Copass experience staying as a group in a dorm which includes bunk beds and a common meeting area.

The Project

This building is designed to hold up to 56 campers. A kitchen and meeting space in the center will make a great facility for churches in the summer as well as groups during retreat season. This is a mid-sized building which will bring in more opportunities for churches of various sizes to hold events at Camp Copass.
